Knots in a chain

I recently asked a mother if she had something of her daughter's that she could where as comfort when going to a family gathering. I was told about a necklace that had two knots in the chain that would never be taken out.

For me the item is a small heart shaped locket that contains a couple of strands of Keith's hair. It gives me a little piece of him to take with me and keep close to my heart when others in the family are afraid to speak Keith's name.
