Keith was 19 when we lost him in November of 2004. He was our only son and youngest child. At six foot tall, he was slender, with long fingers and big feet. He wore size 15 shoes which I now have as book ends. That may sound strange to some people, but Keith had a great sense of humor, so I know he loves the idea. Keith's long fingers gave him a great advantage with the love of his life, his guitar. Music was Keith's world. He taught himself to play guitar, base guitar and keyboard. He also wrote music for his band. Keith's smile would light up a room, but you could tell he was smiling just by looking at his eyes. A loving person, Keith never hesitated to give Bill or I a hug even if he was with his friends. We miss him dearly and so does his big sister, Jennifer and her husband, Frank. Keith had been looking forward to the idea of becoming an Uncle. He now has a niece, Kaylis Danielle, and a nephew, Damien Tage that will grow up knowing they have a special guardian angel.
It is our hope to educate teens and parents of the dangers of drugs. Keith died of an overdose of Heroin and Cocaine. We did not know of Keith's drug use. Sadly, many parents never know.

Did you find a balloon?
Every year on November 13th, we release 100 red balloons
from the West Michigan area in memory of Keith. Each balloon has a message about Keith and information about substance abuse awareness. If you find one of our balloons, please click here and post your location on the map, so we can see where it has traveled. Thank you!
